Local Recruiter & Academic Support Position Summary

The Local Recruiter & Academic Support role involves managing recruitment efforts and providing academic assistance to students within the local area. This position requires identifying and recruiting potential students for academic programs, ensuring alignment with institutional goals and enrollment targets. The recruiter will engage with prospective students, provide detailed information about academic offerings, and support them throughout the application and admission process.

In addition to recruitment responsibilities, the role includes offering academic support to enrolled students. This support may involve helping students adjust to academic life, providing guidance on study strategies, and connecting them with relevant resources. The Local Recruiter & Academic Support professional will work closely with academic departments, faculty, and administrative staff to ensure a seamless experience for both prospective and current students, contributing to their academic success and overall satisfaction.

Key Responsibilities 1: Recruitment & Outreach
  • Develop and implement effective recruitment strategies to attract local students.
  • Build and maintain relationships with prospective students, educational institutions, and community organizations.
  • Represent the institution at local events, fairs, and outreach programs.
Key Responsibilities 2: Admissions Support
  • Assist prospective students throughout the application process, ensuring accurate and timely submission of required documents.
  • Provide information about programs, admission requirements, and institutional offerings.
Key Responsibilities 3: Student Support
  • Act as a point of contact for students, addressing academic queries and providing guidance.
  • Collaborate with faculty and administrative staff to resolve student concerns and ensure a supportive learning environment.
Key Responsibilities 4: Academic Coordination
  • Assist in planning and coordinating academic activities, including scheduling and resource management.
  • Support students with course enrollment, materials access, and academic performance tracking.
Key Responsibilities 5: Administrative Tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of recruitment activities and student data.
  • Prepare reports on recruitment and student support activities for management review.
Qualifications:
  • Education:
    • A bachelor’s degree in education, business, marketing, psychology, or a related field is required. A master’s degree or relevant certifications are a plus.
  • Experience: Proven experience in student recruitment, academic support, or a related field, preferably within an educational institution or similar setting. Experience working with diverse student populations is highly desirable.
  • Skills:
    • Strong communication skills for engaging with students and stakeholders.
    • Proficiency with digital teaching tools and online education platforms.
    • Ability to quickly learn and acquire knowledge of academic programs.
Working Conditions:
  • Part-time.
  • Online teaching, with potential evening or weekend commitments.
